-
- You could paint the monitor.
- Seriously, I've got a light brown monitor that doesn't match my off-white
- A4000, which doesn't match the grey/black modem, which doesn't quite match the
- grey/black amplifier, which doesn't match the black CD player, which _does_
- kinda match the black TV.
- Really, the color of the components is just an aesthetic concern, and if
- you were really concerned about aesthetics, why'd you buy a personal computer?
- You should have bought one of those stylish workstations, instead.

-
- Yes. All games and demos with custom boot routines will fail. Other than
- that, we'll end up with two each of serial and parallel ports, so if you've
- got some hardware driven by hardware-banging software, you'll just have to
- hook it to the CIA-controlled ports, instead of the new, high-speed ports.
- Of course, if AT goes through with their plans to have a switch to switch
- the floppy drive between the SuperIO chip and Paula, the custom boot routines
- can continue to work. (Ugh.)

-
- Yes.

- Are you suggesting that he was an egomaniacal person who would rather see
- his design used, over the superior design? The Amiga helped to inspire the
- multimedia revolution in the PC world, and one of the fruits of that change is
- these new high-powered video chips on the market. They've had years of work
- and millions of dollars poured into them. I think he'd be happy to know what
- his designs inspired.

-
- Right. And at this point, the AAA chipset is the expensive hardware, and
- the inexpensive video chips are the clever solution.
